Bumpin' Around the Christmas Tree

Bumpin' Around the Christmas Tree

2 minute read

The festive break can be a little bit different when you’re expecting but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun. Check out this list of reasons being pregnant over Christmas and New Year can actually be pretty lovely despite the absence of sparkly drinks and some of your fave treats.

Perks
Everyone knows how tiring it is making limbs and making it through each trimester, so you’ll be treated like the Queen you are, invited to put your feet up and have your first pick from the Quality Street tin.

Comfy Clothes
Now Christmas dinner is when maternity wear really comes into its own, pass us those extra roasties and catch me in my loungewear as soon as dessert is done. And yes, it is a good idea to hold onto them for next year.

Bowing out Gracefully
Arguably the best pregnant festive activity - avoiding things you don’t want to do and blaming bump. Had enough at the work Christmas party? See ya later. Uncle Phil grinding your gears? Off you pop.

Glow Girl Glow!
That pregnancy hair, radiant skin and curves to die for, if you’ve got the energy then Christmas can really be a whole catwalk. Document the looks because you can never have too many bump snaps.

Making Demands and Calling them Cravings
Now this may not make you your partners favourite Christmas companion but hey, the baby wants what the baby wants. Who are we to deny a midnight jaunt to Maccy’s just because?

Remember, that first pregnant Christmas can be wholly different from the second, third or fourth, so make the most of it. Take the naps, prioritise being comfy over cute and look forward to having little one here next year.
