Koselig up your Baby Bubble

Koselig up your Baby Bubble

Toni
3 minute read

Remember Hygge? You might have read our blog all about it. Well there’s a new Scandi word in town… ‘Koselig’. It means cosy in English but it’s a Norwegian word and central to their idea of Hygge. In fact, the two words are almost interchangeable. Hygge occurs when you've got your Koselig on.

So what exactly is Koselig and why does it matter to us new parents? It’s a combination of nature, companionship and cosiness helping us feel happy inside. This is especially important when you’re in your new baby bubble. Wanna know how to get your Koselig on? Keep reading…

Turn on the Lamps

Big light off, little lamps on. Creating ambience with lamps is a sure way to make a room cosier in an instant.

Go Outside

As much as we love cuddling our littl’uns, it’s so important to get out and about with them even if it’s just a stroll somewhere local. The fresh air will be good for you both.

TV Off. Music On.

You’re back from a walk and ready for snuggles with your new bundle of joy. Swap the TV for your fave playlist and enjoy some cuddles and bonding time. Not only will it feel super cosy but whenever you hear that song you’ll be taken back to those precious first moments with baby. Supercute.

Invite Friends Over

Staying in’s the new going out when you’ve got a newbie. Now’s the time to have people come to you. Get them round for a board night instead of a busy meeting out. You get to stay social and cosy plus there’s no cooking or washing up for you. Win win

Check in on Baby Brain with a Quiz

Been in enough and fancy getting out? Why not try a local pub quiz with family or friends? Look for somewhere cosy. Whilst littl’un snoozes in their pram you can enjoy some time with friends in a home-away-from-home Koselig setting.

Share your ideas and inspo for bringing the Koselig into 2024 with your littl’un.
