Get Day Out Ready

Get Day Out Ready

Toni
2 minute read

You’re free as a bird and life’s a breeze until you get to your destination and you’ve forgotten the nappies. When the world’s your oyster, prepping the baby bag is the only way to go. Day out? Prep like a pro with these bish bash bosh packing tips...

1.) Snacks, Snacks and more Snacks

Food is life and the packing priority. A hungry littl’un is a grumpy littl’un, so arming yourself with snacks, drinks and milk for the newbies is the difference between a meltdown or a great trip out. If in doubt, overpack and there might even be snacks left over for the grown-ups. Win Win.

2.) Wheels are always Welcome

Even if you’re a carrying kind of parent or have trotting toddlers, never underestimate the power of a buggy in the boot as back up.  Tired little legs will thank you. Your back will thank you.

3.) Never Enough Nappies

A no-brainer, but this essential can easily be overlooked in the excitement and chaos of getting a full family out of the door for a day. Better to bring too many and also extra wipes won’t go amiss for those spontaneous splodges.

4.) A Change of Clothes

The weather can be unpredictable and so can your babies. Be ready for wardrobe and weather malfunctions - always pack a change of clothing as standard plus warm coats and sun hats. Show the chaotic British weather who’s boss.

5.) Sun Protection

Even behind clouds your child’s skin can burn from the sun. It’s always best to be prepared and pack the sun cream.

6.) Toys

Consider a small toy or book to keep their minds occupied during travel time or waiting for lunch if you decide to eat out.

7.) Be Wise. Accessorise.

With the unpredictable weather this summer, plan for every occasion with stroller accessories such as raincover, mosi net, footmuff and parasol.

8.) Handbag Heroes.

  • Wipes
  • Antibacterial gel
  • Plasters
  • Snacks
  • Spare change for parking
  • Toddler friendly plastic cutlery

Share your bag-packing process, the wild, the wonderul and the life-enhancing.
